Transcription 101

Enable transcription of voice messages for easy management and searching.

Transcription can be used in both personal voicemail and in a response group voicemail .

Info: By activating transcription, you confirm that voice messages are processed by a subcontractor to us, and that this processing may take place outside of Sweden.


How it works

  • Using AI technology, the sound in the voice message is analyzed.
  • The speech is translated into text and displayed in the app.

Use in-app transcription

Personal voicemail

When transcription is enabled, it appears:

  • In your call log .
  • As a notification (if enabled).
  • As an email (if enabled) with a summary of the message.

Do you want to hide the transcriptions in the log?

  1. Go to your call log .
  1. Click the eye icon to filter.
  1. Turn off Show voicemail transcriptions .

When sharing a call log, you can choose to include or exclude the transcription .


Response group voicemail

When transcription is enabled, it appears:

  • In the response group's call history .
  • Click play to see the full transcript.

When sharing a call log, you can choose to include or exclude the transcription .


Search transcriptions

To find voicemails quickly:

  1. Click the search box .
  1. Click on the microphone and enter a keyword.
  1. Choose to display results in:
    • Your own voicemail → click on the handset icon .
    • A response group → click the Call Center icon .
  1. Click on the result to read the content.

Enable transcription

Personal voicemail

  1. Click the gear icon .
  1. Select Personal settings .
  1. Expand the Phone & Conference list.
  1. Click Voicemail .
  1. Enable Transcribe voicemails .

Response group voicemail

Requires the Telephony System permission.

  1. Go to the response group settings under Call handling .
  1. Expand Voicemail .
  1. Enable Transcribe voicemails .
