Activity status

Create and manage activity statuses for personal settings.

Step 1 – Open Activity Status

  • Click on the gear icon at the bottom of the menu on the left.
  • Select Personal settings .
  • Expand the Activity Status list.

Step 2 – Create New Activity Status

  1. Click the plus sign (+) .
  1. Give the status a name, such as Super Busy .
  1. Select Available or Busy as your availability mode.
  1. Add a note (optional).
  1. Enter an end time (or leave blank for no end time).
  1. Select display number when status is active.
    • Toggle off to specify different numbers for internal and external calls.
  1. Set how incoming calls should be handled (e.g., forwarding to voicemail).
    • You can have different handling for mobile and landline numbers.
  1. Select any delay before forwarding.
  1. Set how incoming VoIP calls are handled.
  1. Choose whether you should be available in response groups .
  1. Determine which devices will ring .
  1. Choose how it will call out to mobile devices.
  1. Specify which mobile notifications should be silenced when the status is active.
  1. Click Save .

Step 3 – Edit activity status

Your own status

  1. Select the status from the list.
  1. Click to expand.
  1. Make changes.
  1. Click Save .

Change another user's status

  • Requires User & Team permission.
  • You can then change activity status, display number, call handling, forwarding, and notes.

Step 4 – Remove activity status

  1. Select the status.
  1. Click to expand.
  1. At the bottom, click Delete and confirm with Yes .

Step 5 – Reset to system defaults

  • Click Reset all statuses to system defaults .
  • Confirm with OK .

Custom statuses cannot be recreated after a reset.

Step 6 – Workday (automatic activity status)

  1. Click on Workday .
  1. Select Custom or Monday–Friday .
  1. Toggle on Include lunch if you want.
  1. Set working hours.
  1. Select activity status for lunch , start and end of the day.
  1. Click Save .

Step 7 – Allow internal calls when busy

  1. Click the gear iconPersonal settingsActivity status .
  1. Create new status or edit existing one.
  1. Go to Incoming Call Handling .
  1. Toggle on Calls from my organization: let through .
  1. You can also allow:
    • Calls from VIP contacts .
    • Call from federation .
  1. Click Save .
