Conference 101

A user guide for managing meetings and conferences with effective settings.

General settings

Quick connection

Get a reminder in the app (computer/mobile) with a button to quickly join the meeting.

  1. Click the gear iconPersonal settings .
  1. Expand Phone & Conference .
  1. Click Video Conference .
  1. Toggle on/off Quick Connect (on by default).
  1. Adjust display time (default = 2 min before and after the meeting).

The reminder will automatically disappear when you join the conference.

Camera


  • When you connect, the camera is turned off.
  1. Click on the camera icon to start the camera.
  1. Click on the camera with arrows to change camera.
  1. Select camera from the list.

You can star devices to make them default.

Video mode & background effects


  • Click on your camera image → open the menu.

Video modes

  • Normal – best when you are alone in the picture.
  • Conference room – best when several people are sitting in front of the camera.

Background effects

  • None → off.
  • Blur → adjustable blur.
  • Wallpaper → your chosen default.
  • Press wall → company logo as background.
  • Enhanced brightness → illuminates the face better.

Microphone & Speaker

  • When you connect, the microphone is on .
  1. Click the microphone icon to mute.
    • Microphone muted = icon with a line through it.

Change device during conference:

  1. Click on the menu .
  1. Click the headset icon .
  1. Select microphone/speaker from the list.
  1. Toggle off noise reduction (on by default).

Noise reduction works in the desktop and Android apps.

Features

Share screen


  1. Click the share screen icon .
  1. Select screen or window.
  1. Click Select .

Not available from mobile devices.

Add & invite participants

Call in participants


  1. Click the menuAdd person .
  1. Select contact or enter number.
  1. Click on the handset .
  1. When the person answers, they are automatically connected.

Invite participants

  1. Click the menuinfo button .
  1. Under "Invite to conference" select SMS, email or chat.
  1. Add number, email or user.
  1. Click Send .

Start a recording


  1. Click on the menu .
  1. Click on recording (circle icon) .
  1. Click again to stop.
  1. The recording is saved in your call log.

Settings

Change background theme

  • Click on the moon = dark mode.
  • Click on the sun = bright mode.

Video quality & grid

  • Quality: Very high / High / Medium / Low / Off.
  • Conference settings:
    • Show presenter at bottom → toggle.
    • Mirror my video → toggle.

PIN & phone number

Via PIN code

  • A unique PIN code is generated for the meeting.
  • Click COPY to copy.
  • The user can connect via dialer (New call → conference pin).

Via link

  • Unique conference link.
  • Click COPY → send to participants.
  • Can connect via app or browser.

By phone

  • Click COPY to copy the number.
  • Share the number + PIN code → the participant can call in.

Audio & Video Devices

  • Click the headset icon to switch microphone, speakers, or camera.
